Subject: Looking forward to the reunion
Date: Tue. Aug 5, 2003
From: Brad Lakritz

I suppose it's time for me to write in again and update folks on what's happened to me in the past few years. Like Carolyn, I'll make it a short version.

As you can see, the three little monsters to your left are my greatest accomplishment. They are, from top to bottom, Emily, Noah, and Mia. You may recall that Mia was born just at the time of our 20 year reunion. Look at her now! She turned five last month. My kids help make life full and happy.

Five years ago I also started a new job at a high school here in San Rafael. It's funny now to think back to all those wild and crazy days at HUHS with all our friends and teachers.

I see high school from a different angle now and have learned to appreciate even more what we had in school and all the friends and experiences HUHS provided for us. It was a very special time.

Of course time continues to go by and, with the right attitude, I think one can say that today is a special time too. I look forward to hearing all about your special life experiences and can't wait to catch up after all these years.

P.S. That's a self-portrait I did while driving on the Golden Gate Bridge about a month ago. Yep, lots of gray hair, eh?

Subject: The short version

The short version: I am newly single, have definitely gone through a few dark & stormy nights lately. Work for myself in publishing. Passions: Middle Eastern dance & music, the arts, world cultures, spiritual quests, books, the beach. Current fantasy: to be a surfer! I'm looking forward to eating chocolate chip ice cream at Superior Dairy and seeing everyone at the reunion! I'll be at the Irwin Street Inn starting Friday 8/8; would love to see people before or after the reunion, if any of my friends are around. E-mail me!

Subject: . . . a little scary
Date: Thu. Jul 31, 2003
From: Dana (Grau) Dodd

It was a dark and windy night . . . and a little scary, since I haven't talked with anyone from high school in a long time (except my friend, Carrie Yue). I only moved to Hanford the summer before my junior year, so I didn't grow up with many of you and I've moved around many times since graduating in 1978. I am now back in Hanford after being married for 7 years (now divorced). I have two kids: a daughter 18, who is a senior at Hanford High East (yeah!!) this year and a son, 11 who goes to Jefferson Elem. I'm looking forward to the 25 year reunion, but don't remember alot of people, so be kind. I've enjoyed reading these stories on the internet. And I'm with Darren Matteson....my oldest child's sport is not on here. She is into barrel racing and rodeos. My son is into soccer.

Subject: an old friend . . . urging me to attend our 25th class reunion . . .
Date: Wed, 14 May 2003
From: Deborah Parmely

It was a dark and windy night . . . when I opened the window and an email from an old High School friend blew in urging me to attend our 25th Class Reunion, and here I am writing now!

As a successful entepreneur, Nurse, and mom, I am having the best decade of my life! I stay active and fit running, cycling, and more! I ran my first marathon in 1999, and continue to train and enjoy the outdoors. I live in a remarkably beautiful area with access to lakes, mountains, trails, skiing (water & snow) and fun.

I had three boys. My two oldest boys (22 & 19)are grown and on their own. Sometimes I get to run with them and we "share" life that way. My youngest is 12 and he and I live together. Never did I intend on a 10 year spread, but he is such a delight and very athletic. I am very active in his schooling and life and feel quite blessed.

If I could go back in time with the accomplishments and the knowledge I have now.......I would rock the world! Confidence, Success, and the love of your friends and family can take you everywhere! I look forward to visiting at the reunion, mostly because no one really knew me and wont recognize me anyway! Its a great secret and I have fun with it!

See you all there!
Deborah Parmely, CEO/Owner
